Weather Station
The 4 line white on blue display has been ordered from Hacktronics, and the humidity / temperature sensor has been ordered from MisensO.
We might step up to the Arduino Mega for the increased I/O capability.
8/30/10 - Received the 4x20 display. Need to solder the header pins on it tomorrow, then test it with a "Hello World" test.
9/5/10 - Successfully tested both the 4x20 white on blue LCD, and the 2x20 black/orange LCD (http://arduinotronics.blogspot.com/2010/09/lcd-is-alive.html). Waiting on the humidity / temp sensor now.
9/14/10 - Received the SHT21 Temp/Humidity sensor from Misenso. Had to figure out how to use it. See http://arduinotronics.blogspot.com/2010/09/our-temperature-humidity-monitor-is.html
10/10/10 - Migrated the project over to the new Arduino 2560. Temp and humidity working well. Pressure sensor from Sparkfun DOA, awaiting replacement. Got the time/date working on the older Duemilanove, and are working on alarm functions, as well as push button options (time/date setting, contrast and brightness, alarm with relay control).
